The film hails from actor-turned-filmmaker Keir O’ Donnell, whose film credits include Wedding Crashers, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, The Runaways, When in Rome, American Sniper, and Gifted.

Marmalade marks the feature directorial debut of O’Donnell, who has also written the film’s script. Further details about Keery, Hodge, and Morrone’s characters are still under wraps, but the story will revolve around a naïve small-town man who ends up in jail and narrates the colorful tale of a romantic bank heist to his cunning cellmate, all in order to escape and reunite with the alluring love of his life.

The film is a production by Tea Shop Productions, Signature Films, and Silver Lining Entertainment. It is produced by James Harris, Mark Lane, Sarah Gabriel, Marc Goldberg, and Jason Shapiro.

Keery is currently enjoying another successful season of Stranger Things, and is set to reprise his fan-favorite role of Steve Harrington for the last time in the forthcoming fifth and final season.

Meanwhile, Hodge will next be seen starring alongside Dwayne Johnson in the long-awaited Black Adam movie. As for Morrone, she will next be seen in the upcoming limited series adaptation of Daisy Jones & The Six.
