Hustle Trailer: Adam Sandler Leads Netflix’s Basketball Drama Film
Netflix has dropped the official trailer for Hustle, its upcoming sports comedy-drama which hails from executive producers Adam Sandler and NBA superstar LeBron James. The film will be available for streaming on Friday, June 10.
The Hustle trailer, which you can check out below along with the poster, features a basketball scout who discovers the NBA’s next big star in Spain. However, getting him to qualify for a draft will not be easy, due to his lack of training. Sandler’s character will gamble his career to help his chosen player while finally achieving his dream of coaching.
Hustle stars Adam Sandler (Uncut Gems), Queen Latifah (Chicago), Robert Duvall (The Judge), Ben Foster (Hell or High Water), NBA player Juancho Hernangomez, Jordan Hull (The L Word: Generation Q), Maria Botto (Mad Dogs), Ainhoa Pillet, and sports commentator Kenny Smith.
“Stanley Sugerman’s love for basketball is unparalleled, but the travel-weary Philadelphia 76ers scout who has higher ambitions of being a coach remains stuck on the road looking for the next unknown talent,” reads the synopsis. “His search around the world leads him to Spain, when he discovers Bo Cruz, an incredible streetball player with a troubled past. Stanley and Bo connect on and off the court, with their passion for the game and as loving family men who want to prove they can win, in basketball and in life. With the support of Stanley’s wife, Teresa, can the underdogs come out on top?”
Hustle is directed by Jeremiah Zagar (We the Animals). It is produced by Sandler through his Happy Madison banner, and Roth/Kirschenbaum Films, along with LeBron James and Maverick Carter for SpringHill Entertainment.
