Information about Amazon Studios’ highly-anticipated The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power has been scarce, but two new characters have been detailed for the upcoming series in a recent post from the company.
Taking to social media, the official Twitter account of the upcoming series unveiled two characters, Theo (played by Tyroe Muhafidin) and Bronwyn (Nazanin Boniadi). Little is known about the two characters, but in their respective images, Theo can be seen holding a staff of some sort, while Bronwyn is seen looking over a small river.

So far, it’s unclear exactly who both characters are, with fans already speculating on what the actual identity of Theo could be. Thankfully for fans, they won’t have too much longer, as The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power is set to premiere later this year.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power brings to screens for the very first time the heroic legends of J.R.R. Tolkien’s fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history. The new epic drama will feature an ensemble cast led by Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Maxim Baldry, Nazanin Boniadi, and Morfydd Clark.
“This epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and will take viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness,” reads the synopsis.
Additional cast includes Ismael Cruz Córdova, Charles Edwards, Trystan Gravelle, Sir Lenny Henry, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Lloyd Owen, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, Leon Wadham, Benjamin Walker, Daniel Weyman, and Sara Zwangobani.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is developed and executive produced by J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, who are serving as showrunners. Even before it went into production for the first season, Amazon Studios granted the project a second season renewal.
