Coronavirus: Reason why we invited Italian to Nigeria - Lafarge

The Nigerian cement company, Lafarge Africa PLC had disclosed the reason why they invited the Italian man who brought Coronavirus to Nigeria.

This was made known by Segun Soyoye, the company's Industrial Director who said that the Italian was invited to Nigeria for inspection.

This was needed due to the fact that the company recently acquired some machines from a Swedish firm in their Ewekoro Facility.

This he revealed during an on-the-spot assessment by the State government, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, and the World Health Organization at their facility.

He further explained that the Italian who came for a business visit got to Lagos on Monday and spent the night at the Airport Hotel, Ikeja when the abnormal temperature was detected and the Emergency Response Team was called.
