The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has said that President Muhammadu Buhari is now in charge.
Osinbajo told state house correspondents shortly after briefing president Buhari that he is no longer acting as president.
He said, "I am back to my regular position as Vice-President"
Prof. Osinbajo explained that he had a very important discussion with the president during which issues ranging from the economy to security and others were extensively discussed to bring the Nigerian leader up to speed.
President Buhari resumed office today and formally transmitted letters to the Senate and the House of Representatives, informing them, "that I have resumed my functions as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with effect from Monday, March 13, 2017, after my vacation in compliance with Section 145 of the 1999 Constitution".
